Davina S. Tala

Davina S. Tala practices in the areas of first party, third party, and subrogation insurance litigation, as well as personal injury protection.

Ms. Tala received B.S. degrees in Criminology and Communications from Florida State University, where she was an Honor Society member and on the Dean’s List. She received her J.D from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, during which time she received an Award of Merit from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Ms. Tala was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2003 and is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court.

Ms. Tala began her career as a Municipal Prosecutor for the City Attorney’s Office of Coral Springs (Florida) before being appointed as an Assistant State Attorney at the Office of the State Attorney, Seventeenth Judicial Circuit, in Fort Lauderdale. During her tenure, she served as Supervisor in several different trial units, including the Misdemeanor Trial Unit, Domestic Violence Unit, and Felony Trial Unit.

Prior to joining Rubinton and Laufer, Ms. Tala was a Staff Attorney at the Law Office of Richard M. Nelson, GEICO Staff Counsel, where she gained significant experience in insurance defense, including first party, third party, bodily injury, and property damage cases.
